MUDr. Ján Ballx, born in 1973 in Nitra, is a psychiatrist with extensive clinical and academic experience. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Masaryk University in Brno, with advanced European certification in psychiatry and training in psychotherapy.
As the clinical director of Psychoterapia s.r.o. in Bratislava, he provides comprehensive treatment combining psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy, focusing on mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and complex cases (dual diagnoses).
He has worked in leading psychiatric hospitals in Nitra and Bratislava and gained international experience in the UK (NHS and private clinics). His expertise includes psychodynamic and Gestalt psychotherapy, trauma-focused work, and integrative approaches to mental health.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ballx teaches and supervises psychotherapists in training. He has presented at more than 40 professional conferences and contributed to several papers on the neurobiology and phenomenology of psychotherapy.
